TIMONIUM, Md. - Sept. 6, 2016 - PRLog -- The Maryland Antique Arms Show returns to the Maryland State Fairgrounds October 1-2, 2016, to educate and inspire people of all ages.

From original military uniforms, personal letters and photographs, musical instruments, and cavalry saddles, tack and gear, to antique arms, artillery and bullets, the Third Annual Maryland Antique Arms Show is more than just a gun show. There will be over 500 tables of American history artifacts in an interactive atmosphere, where visitors can get to know the curators as well as their collections.

This event offers beginning and advanced collectors, as well as the public, a rare opportunity to meet some of the most trusted and respected antique arms collectors and dealers in the country in one place.

Dave Prawdzik, Antique Gun Room, Inc.'s founder, is one of those sought-after dealers who has attended the show since its inception. "It's a great show for all types of antique arms. There is something for everyone." Vin Caponi, a New York Colt firearms dealer, "wouldn't miss this show for anything."

Dick Berglund, of the prestigious Baltimore Show, sponsored by the Maryland Antique Arms Collectors Association, describes the show as "a must for antique arms collectors" where "collectors and students of history gather to enjoy their passion.

The show is able to attract high-level dealers thanks to the show promoter's respected credentials among serious collectors. Steve Sylvia is an American historian, collector, author, and military artifacts entrepreneur. Along with wife and managing editor, Nancy Dearing Rossbacher, together they have steered their award-winning periodical, North South Trader's Civil War, to acclaim as the nation's premier Civil War artifacts magazine. Their Civil War Collector's Price Guide is the benchmark for pricing evaluations in the field.  Steve is also the newest antique arms appraiser on the acclaimed TV program, Antiques Roadshow.

Theirs was perhaps one of the last generations to grow up with firearms and collecting as a normal part of childhood. Practically every boy expected a BB gun under the Christmas tree, hunted with dad on weekends, and collected coins or stamps. This spirit carries through in the collectors who recognize the role these pieces represent in artistry and history.

Collecting is personal. Whether one comes to preserve a vintage piece from an historical, aesthetic or craftsman perspective, The Maryland Show gives visitors insights into the pleasure and value of collecting.

For visitors who choose to skip the lines, save a dollar and get entered into a drawing to win one of 50 prizes valued from $10 to $100, advance tickets are available online at http://www.visitmarylandshow.com/tickets/
