Now Accepting Registration for KidzAct Fall Classes

NAPLES, Fla. - Sept. 6, 2016 - PRLog -- KidzAct, Youth Theatre of The Naples Players, is now accepting registration for the fall classes at Sugden Community Theatre, 701 5^th Avenue South in downtown Naples.

In the fall, all skill and production classes will be participating in the large holiday show, The Nutcracker Goes Pop!, presented on the main stage in December. Children from 4 – 8 may sign up for classes without an audition. Children 9 – 18 are required to audition for placement in the more advanced classes and for casting in feature parts in this show.

Core classes begin with the basics and work toward a comprehensive understanding and appreciation of theatrical skills. The focus of the fall term is on building singing and dancing skills. Without a firm understanding of these skills, it is difficult to achieve success going forward in musical theatre. Theatre games, diction, volume and character are introduced and developed as the child progresses through the program during the year. Team work, confidence building and fun are the goals for all the students.

For anyone not interested in musical theatre who wants to focus on just acting, an Intro to Acting class is offered. Improvisation, audition techniques, monologues, scenes and exercises will be covered in this class.

         KidzAct has been providing exceptional youth theatre for over 20 years, with a low student to teacher ratio and classes taught by professional instructors. Scholarships are also available for all children.
