Stark Bro's to throw public 200th anniversary party

LOUISIANA, Mo. - Sept. 6, 2016 - PRLog -- Stark Bro's Nurseries & Orchards Co, founded in 1816, will formally celebrate its 200th anniversary in business by hosting a public celebration on September 24, 2016. The event, to be held at the Pike County Fairgrounds, will serve as a heartfelt thank-you to employees, their families and to their loyal customers for their support over the years.

"This is our chance to show our gratitude for the many blessings we've enjoyed, and to give something back to the wonderful people of Louisiana," says Ken Lane, Chief Marketing Officer for Stark Bro's. "We have every intention of doing this again, 200 years from now."

Attendees will be treated to circus entertainers, a petting zoo and pony rides, a bounce house and a wide variety of classic activities for both young and old: sack races, a water balloon toss, bingo and much more. Raffles will also be held for a Sony 40" TV and a Stark Bro's Bicentennial gift basket, each valued at $250.

A special Anniversary Program will include speakers such as company president Cameron Brown, Louisiana mayor Bart Neidner and Clay Stark Logan, the last Stark family member to serve as Stark Bro's president.

A fun assortment of "fair food" and non-alcoholic beverages will be available to purchase from local non-profit vendors. Live music will run from 4pm to 8pm, provided by the Everyday People band. The festive party will be capped off by a fireworks display at 8pm.
