New Americanism Launches Its Mission

WASHINGTON - Sept. 5, 2016 - PRLog -- Today, Labor Day 2016, New Americanism announces that it is beginning its mission of renewing the American worker's historic role as a world-beating producers of goods.

Americans are both workers and consumers. These are the economic functions of the same people: Americans. New Americanism asserts that the American people have the sovereign right to make multinationals' access to them as consumers directly contingent upon investment into them as producers.

The end result of Open Trade is the transformation of an economy from one that creates local consumer goods to one that sells imported consumer goods. This shifts workers' livelihoods from being producers of domestic products to being distributors of imported products (e.g. superstore employees).

New Americanism seeks to refocus trade policy to view Americans as people; not as their economic functions in isolation from each other.

New Americanism will pursue trade policies that encourage the creation of production jobs for American workers and will support candidates and political appointees who will enact these trade policies.
