New Independence, IA Mustangs Defense Swagger Makes It A Game Vs. Clear Creek-Amana In Tiffin, Iowa

INDEPENDENCE, Iowa - Sept. 4, 2016 - PRLog -- The Varsity Indee Mustangs Football Team took the field Friday night and they appeared to have a confidence and ready to make it happen look on them. They played at Clear Creek-Amana and their defense was ready. The Indee Mustangs and their offense also looked ready and willing to go for the win. Clear Creek - Amana was up 7-0 in the first quarter and that Indee defense held time after time again to make it a game.

The Mustangs threw several interceptions in key moments...which meant the defense had to rally the team...and for awhile...they did a good job! When defenses play alot...that means they get tired too. The "D" came up with several turnovers and key fourth down stops, but that wasn't enough as Clear Creek - Amana put together touchdown drive after touchdown drive. At halftime...the score was Clear Creek - Amana 13...Independence 0, but there was a feeling it was going to be a great game. The Mustangs came out in the second half and gave it their best with more solid defensive play and good offensive gains, but Clear Creek - Amana won 26-0. The Independence Mustangs faced another tough opponent for the second week in a row...and they improved greatly in this game. If the offense can limit turnovers and the defense continues to play at a high level....this season has unlimited possibilities. For more information...check out the video highlights below.
