SmartBones® Sponsors Second Annual New York City Dog Film Festival™

WOODSIDE, N.Y. - Sept. 2, 2016 - PRLog -- SmartBones® is a proud sponsor of this year's annual New York City Dog Film Festival™ at the Symphony Space (human only venue) on the west side of Broadway and 95th Street from 10 am to 10 pm on Saturday, October 15. The Dog Film Festival™ is a celebration of the love between dogs and their people, and the animal welfare groups that bring them together.

The Dog Film Festival™ grew out of Tracie Hotchner's desire as a pet wellness advocate to expand her Radio Pet Lady Network's outreach to educate about adoption, pet wellness issues and philosophical aspects of pets in our lives. The Festival is a unique way of honoring dogs as true family members by bringing together like-minded people to experience global filmmakers' celebration of the human-canine bond. Tracie has chosen films that inspire, educate and entertain, and are appropriate for all members of the (human) family.

This second annual film festival will include four themed programs that are each two hours long anchored by a longer film - preceded by a medley of animated, narrative and documentary shorts. Programs take place at 11 am, 2pm, 5pm and 8 pm. The 11 am program is entitled, "Dogs British Style: The English View of Dogs." The 2 pm program is called, "Dogs in the Outdoors: Adventure & Sport."  The 5 pm program is, "Love Makes the World Go Round: Who Rescued Whom?" and the 8 pm program is called, "The Champions: An Uplifting Tale of Redemption." The event beneficiary, The Alliance for NYC's Animals will receive 50% of ticket sales. A Dog Lover's All-Access Pass provides VIP seating and the ability to sample all four films. It costs $40 and the best part: no dogs have bad outcomes in any of these films.
