Follow on Google News | DN Orthodontics Honors Fallen NOPD Officer, Natasha HunterDN Orthodontics has pledged to donate a total of $10,000 in cash and services to honor NOPD fallen officer, Natasha Hunter. Hunter was a patient of DN Orthodontics and was killed in the line of duty early June.
By: DN Orthodontics "As a patient, Natasha was part of the DN Orthodontics extended family," said Dr. Phuong Nguyen. "When we heard the news of the accident and then her passing shortly after, we were heartbroken and wanted to provide some sort of comfort & support for her family." For this reason, DN Orthodontics launched a fundraising campaign to raise money for the Natasha Hunter Memorial Fund. The practice ordered special edition t-shirts and sold them to patients and community members with all proceeds to be donated to the fund. DN Orthodontics also pledged to match the proceeds. The efforts raised a total of $2,000. In addition to this donation to the Natasha Hunter Memorial Fund, DN Orthodontics will donate $1,000 to the NOPD and another $1,000 to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office. DN Orthodontics would also like to cover the cost of full orthodontic treatment for Natasha's daughter when she is ready. They are prepared to offer up to $6,000 to cover the expense. Donations to all parties will be presented on Wednesday, September 7th at DN Orthodontics' Harvey location on Manhattan Blvd .
