Sales Education Foundation Hosts 9th Annual Faculty Certification

Newly certified faculty members provide tools for aligning university sales students with professional selling roles

DAYTON, Ohio - Sept. 2, 2016 - PRLog -- The Sales Education Foundation (SEF) hosted their 9th annual Faculty Certification Program in Dayton, Ohio recently. This academic workshop provides sales educators with tools to use in their curriculum. Once certified, faculty have preferred access to SEF's Career Development Program which focuses on career guidance for sales students. As the benefit of a university sales education receives more recognition from the business community at large, many sales programs report 100% job placement for their graduates; almost double that of the overall graduating population.

Attending certification as the Class of 2016 were: Andrew Loring, M.S., from Texas A&M University; Scott Watson, CFA, from The University of Alabama at Birmingham; Gary B. Gagnon from Central Michigan University; R. Keith Huggins from University of South Carolina; Shawn A. Green, PhD, from Aurora University; John Rossi, MBA, from Youngstown State University; Carlton C. O'Neal, MBA, JD, from University of San Diego; Ellen Daniels, MBA, and Kelly Knapp Blay from Kent State University; Scott B. Friend, PhD, from Miami University; Reece Theriot, MBA, from University of Louisiana Lafayette and Don Thacker, MBA from Kent State University Stark. These individuals now join +90 educators who provide students with SEF's job selection tools.

One participant provided the following feedback: "Participation in the 9th Annual Sales Education Foundation (SEF) Faculty Certification workshop was both highly enjoyable and extremely enlightening. The depth and breadth of the descriptive and predictive tools provided by the SEF through introduction to their assessment tool and GrowthPlay career development resources will be invaluable to those of us working in the college classroom to elevate the sales profession by way of our university sales education programs and dedicated sales centers. The Faculty Certification Program is a wonderful opportunity for university professors to get together with other sales educators from around the United States and share insights, as well as leading-edge innovations related to university sales programs."

Through a partnership with GrowthPlay, www.growthplay.com, SEF is able to provide university sales students with access to individual assessment results. Over 13,000 students have participated in this valuable program.
