Karen DeSoto Celebrates Student Team Winning Award

Institute for Dispute Resolution soars in Vienna as the NJCU student team competed against international law students recently and won an Award for Best Opening Statements.

JERSEY CITY, N.J. - Sept. 2, 2016 - PRLog -- Leman Kaifa and Paola Andrea were in Vienna Austria with their team from the Institute For Dispute Resolution (http://www.njcu.edu/academics/institute-dispute-resolution-idr) where they competed against 30 teams from around the globe in the CDRC (Consensual Dispute Resolution) Mediation Competition (http://www.cdrcvienna.org/) — sponsored by the international bar association).

"We're so immensely proud of our students. They competed at the highest levels. The entire experience I think has been great for all of us. The Institute has raised the profile of New Jersey City University, provided students an expanse of their knowledge and worldviews as they travel internationally, and NJCYU raised the profile of the state of New Jersey."

ABOUT THE INSTITUTE

The Institute for Dispute Resolution is an academic progam under the School of Business at New Jersey University aimed at the  international negotiation and mediation techniques to manage disputes in cross border commercial, investor-state and general conflict resolution forums.
