Speedy Scissor Lift Installation Project Lightens the Load for Thriving Truck Maintenance Facility
Direct Tool Company completes priority project for leading high-end large commercial vehicle maintenance centre
Having served the prestigious workshop with tools, consumables and coatings for the past 5 years, Direct Tool Company (better known as DTC) were chosen as the sole consulting firm to carry out the bespoke fit-out project.
DTC obtained and installed the heavy duty scissor lift designed to withstand trucks weighing up to 13 tons. The modern lift is well equipped with a power unit complete with electro-mechanic card and 24V low voltage control system. A hydraulic-volumetric synchronism and auto leveling platform device is a modern self stabilising system providing the scissor lift with maximum safety and ease of use.
Key safety features include: manual descent pump in case of power failures, mechanical safety ratchet, safety valve in case of hydraulic failure and an alarm on last portion of descent.
"This installation job required immediate action and I am thrilled to say we successfully completed the project ahead of schedule which was a huge relief to our valued client. Workshop installations involving scissor lifts often prove problematic due to the many legislative safety precautions to adhere to. With the combined years of experience here at DTC our projects team are able to offer an industry leading service, quite simply we never let our customers down" said Rick Wakeford, Sales Director of Direct Tool Company.
