Nominations Announced for the 4th Annual Reality TV Awards

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Sept. 2, 2016 - PRLog -- For the first time in the Reality TV Awards history, the 2016 vote, which started today, is now accessible worldwide. Celebrating outstanding performances and shows in 2015, 95 reality shows on 34 networks encompass the 25 categories that will be given out at the 4th annual awards ceremony on Wednesday, November 2nd at Avalon-Hollywood in LA.

Leading the pack with 10 nominations is NBC's "American Ninja Warrior" followed by a three-way tie with 7 nominations between Bravo's "Vanderpump Rules," FOX's "Hell's Kitchen," and Discovery Channel's "Deadliest Catch."

FOX's "MasterChef, Jr." and ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" tied with 6 nominations with newcomers HGTV's "Ellen's Design Challenge" and Discovery's "Naked & Afraid XL" with 5 nominations each. The Donald Trump-hosted "Celebrity Apprentice" also received 5 nominations for NBC, including Trump for Best Host.

"I Am Cait's" Caitlyn Jenner and "Keeping Up With The Kardashians'" Kim Kardashian West will fight it out for Reality Queen; James Kennedy and LaLa Kent are both nominated for Best Villain for "Vanderpump Rules"; and "The Real Housewives" franchise (Atlanta, Beverly Hills, Orange County) battle for Dynamic Returning Cast.

2016 brings several new categories to the Reality TV Awards: Digital Reality Series, Lifestyle Show and Reality TV Website.

Mainstream celebrities and A-listers Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, LeBron James, Kevin Jonas, Chaka Khan, LL Cool J, Christina Milian, Gwen Stefani and President Barack Obama compete in another new category: Crossover Reality Talent.

Other notable 2015 shows received nominations in several categories. Some of these programs include: Spike's "Lip Sync Battle", CBS's "Big Brother", E!'s "Botched", A&E's "The First 48" and "Born This Way", CMT's "Party Down South" and "I Love Kellie Pickler", History Channel's "Swamp People" and "The Curse of Oak Island", VH1's "Candidly Nicole", Lifetime's "Big Women Big Love", Crackle's "Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee", HBO's "Project Greenlight" and the Netflix series "Making a Murderer".

The 2016 host and key presenters will be announced later in September. Executive Producers Andrew Ward and Kristen Moss and Awards/Talent producer John Barra are all expected to return. Jason Hervey, co-founder of Bischoff-Hervey Entertainment Television, is also attached to the project as one of the newest members of the Reality TV Awards Board of Governors.

The voting process moves to fans worldwide today and will exclusively be an online vote at: http://vote.rtvas.com. Fans can submit votes daily until the deadline of Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 11:59pm PST. Award officials predict over 1,000,000 fan votes, which will surpass 2015 numbers.
