Confederate Motorcycles Begins Production of Limited-Edition P51 Combat Fighter

Second-generation of lauded Fighter line delivers pure man-machine interface

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Aug. 31, 2016 - PRLog -- Exotic brand Confederate Motorcycles has announced that production has begun on its latest design, the P51 Combat Fighter, a specialty machine that fuses power, strength, and beauty.

Like all Confederate models, an extremely limited run will be produced with each bike assembled by hand. The P51's predecessor, the P120 Fighter, was inspired by the ideal of the 1960s American anti-hero, his stripped-down chopper and his pursuit of liberation. The P51 Combat continues that theme, but is a lighter, more muscular evolution that delivers explosive power and innovative engineering. The bike, crafted exclusively from aircraft-grade billet aluminum, will be featured in the April 2017 motion picture, The Fast and the Furious 8, among other feature films.

"Our priority is to create an experience rooted in the ideals of rebellion," says Confederate Motorcycles founder and CEO H. Matthew "Matt" Chambers. "We design from the inside out, drawing inspiration from American primitivism, avant-gardism, and Bauhaus school minimalism. When we do our job, the result is a singularity between our machines and our client's unique nature."

Confederate is the global leader in exotic motorcycle design. Each P51 Combat Fighter is machined from over 2,000 pounds of billet aluminum, and is hand assembled by a small team of master-craftsmen at their factory headquarters. Only 61 will be produced: 31 presented in raw aluminum, and 30 presented in black-anodized aluminum.
