PALM HARBOR, Fla. - Aug. 30, 2016 - PRLog -- Classic Pinellas Radio announces a new twice-daily hour-long online radio program dedicated to classical percussion music called "Percussion Panorama" hosted by sixteen year Blue Man Group veteran Anthony Parrulli. Classic Pinellas Radio Founder Conductor Composer Stephen P Brown is committed to bringing good music to life and that includes his own favorite instrument, percussion. "I am thrilled Anthony's passion will allow those of us interested in percussion music to indulge in a daily dose of new and familiar music," says Brown.

Music from pioneers such as John Cage and Pulitzer Prize winners Steve Reich and Charles Wuorinen will be played by performers including Colin Currie, Dame Evelyn Glennie, the McCormick Percussion Group, the New Jersey Percussion Ensemble, Les Percussions de Strasbourg, and the Ulster and National Philharmonic Orchestras. As of Thursday, September 1st Percussion Panorama can be heard on classicpinellas.com at 1pm and 1am seven days a week, with different music featured in each program.

As the program's host, Parrulli, who has appeared on Ellen, the Tonight Show, Access Hollywood, Super Bowl XLV as well as in the Ocean's 11 and Jersey Girl movies and the City of Dunedin Pipe Band, records introductions and makes music recommendations for broadcasting. "I have a love for percussion both traditional and unconventional, and I love that Stephen wants this to be upbeat and energetic!" says Parrulli, speaking of Brown's request to make Percussion Panorama interesting and exciting so as to not bore listeners, even die-hard percussionists.

Interest in Percussion Panorama has already been expressed by airwave broadcasters including WJCT and WTAN as well as members of the Percussive Arts Society and the Association of Concert Bands.

Launched earlier in 2016, Classic Pinellas Radio has already had an impact in the local Tampa Bay arts scene, and regularly plays globally to listeners as far as Australia and Germany. The goal of the station is to expose listeners to snippets of classical music that act as teasers for the real, live, in-person concert experience. For the past five years Brown has been on a crusade to bring more live classical music to Pinellas County, Florida and is using the online radio platform to encourage listeners to attend concerts with friends.
