Artist Kobina Wright Featured in Permafrost

Wright's mixed media work is now featured in the current issue of Permafrost, an Alaskan Literary Magazine.

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Aug. 29, 2016 - PRLog -- Southern California artist, Kobina Wright, is exhibiting small works at the Corners Gallery in the Huntington Beach Central Library and is also featured in the 38.2 issue of the literary magazine, Permafrost.  Permafrost is the first publication to exhibit Wright's mixed media work titled "Dripping Up Yellow."

Permafrost was founded in 1977 and operates from the University of Alaska Fairbanks MFA program.  The magazine is run by creative writing graduate students and publishes a winter pint issue as well as a spring online issue, featuring poetry, art, fiction and literary nonfiction.  It publishes the works of original voices from around the world.

Wright is both an artist and writer from Orange County, California, who earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from California State University, Fullerton.  She has published several books and her art work has been exhibited in several countries, including Slovenia, Amsterdam, Thailand, New Zealand; France, England and the U.S.

Wright's painting titled "Green Gerenuk" was recently exhibited in the Netherland at the Amsterdam Outsider Art Gallery as a part of a collaborative traveling mosaic tapestry project through Uncooked Culture.
