Follow on Google News | AML Wrestling/SECOND TO NONE 2016/Official ResultsAML Wrestling made their Mocksville, NC debut. Here are the results.
By: WrestleCade Entertainment Davie County High School in Mocksville, North Carolina was the setting for an explosive, emotional night of wrestling action when America's Most Liked Wrestling presented "Second To None." Here are the OFFICIAL results: The Dixon Line w/ Robert Locke vs. The Young Lions THE DIXON LINE (Joe Keys and Ken Dixon) defeated THE YOUNG LIONS (Lex Lee and Kevin Kaufman) when Joe Keys pinned Lex Lee. The Dixon Line continues to impress and, with this victory, will likely be looking for an AML Tag Team Championship opportunity in the near future. Brandon Scott vs Chance Prophet vs Darius Lockhart vs. Caprice Coleman (substituting for the injured Raphael King) In a Fatal Four Way to determine one of two finalists for the recently vacated AML Prestige Championship, DARIUS LOCKHART advanced to the championship match September 24 in Lexington when he pinned BRANDON SCOTT in an end-of-match scrum. The match featured former AML Wrestling Champion CAPRICE COLEMAN as a late addition who slotted in for the injured RAPHAEL KING, and all four men nearly won the opportunity in the last 45 seconds of the match when the rookie Lockhart was able to maximize the opportunity to hit a wicked blockbuster on Brandon Scott to advance. Lockhart's upset win delighted the crowd, and all of his competitors shook his hand (notably excepted by Scott, who angrily rebuffed Lockhart's offer of a handshake). The Regulator (w/Tommy Thomas) vs. Scotty Matthews One year ago, Scotty Matthews had to cancel an appearance with AML Wrestling for an almost tragic reason; he was badly injured in an auto-bicycle accident. After sustaining a broken pelvis, doctors told him it would take him a year to be able to walk again and his wrestling career was over. That did little to slow down the "Fearless" one, as he rehabilitated maniacally to the point where he was able to wrestle without restrictions far sooner than anyone believed he would. Enter Tommy Thomas. When Matthews was in the beginning stages of his recovery he visited the AML locker room, where Thomas and Chase Owens attacked him in his wheelchair, deriding Matthews as a "cripple." Vowing revenge, Matthews demanded a match against the mysterious Regulator, because he wanted to make sure Tommy Thomas was able to watch up close. And, after 12 minutes of action, "Fearless" Scotty Matthews was victorious in his AML return, as he pinned The Regulator after Tommy Thomas's interference backfired. Billy Brash vs. Peter Kaasa vs. Axton Ray vs. Jordan Kage This was the second of two fatal four way matches to decide the finalists to become the next AML Prestige Champion on September 24 in Lexington. After a hard fought battle, Jordan Kage was able to continue his winning streak by hitting Peter Kaasa with his "Fuzzy 8 x 10" second-rope piledriver to secure the pinfall victory, as Brash and Ray were too far away to break up the pin. Jordan Kage will now face Darius Lockhart to determine the new AML Prestige champion. Zane Dawson (w/George South) vs. Steve Corino This match had to be changed after Dawson attacked Corino the night before this match was to take place. However, the Director Of Operations for AML Wrestling, Brian Hawks, ordered a replacement to wrestle in his stead...an EXTREME replacement. Zane Dawson (w/George South) vs. CW Anderson in a no-disqualification match The other half of the "Extreme Horsemen," CW Anderson brought his iron left hand and the best spinebuster in the business to face the master of the lariat, Zane Dawson. To underscore the violence that was to come, Anderson brought a steel chair with him to the ring. Unfortunately for Anderson, however, after a match that sent both men outside the ring fighting and using all kinds of weaponry, George South's "#1 son" was able to get another victory thanks to a vicious lariat. Anderson has vowed to come back to AML for the sole purpose of taking Dawson out. The Geordie Bulldogs (Mark Denny and Sean Denny) vs. The Heatseekers (Sigmon and Elliot Russell w/ Jimmy Hart) for the AML Tag Team Championship This rematch of the AML tag titles had one interesting wrinkle; the acquisition of Jimmy Hart's managerial services for the night by the erstwhile champions, the Heatseekers. After another wild bout this looked like a win for the Heatseekers, as Elliot Russell was able to use Jimmy Hart's megaphone to knock out both Mark and Sean Denny without referee Jeff Bunton seeing it. After the tainted three count, senior official James Hunter emerged from the locker room to reverse the decision and give the championship back to the Bulldogs via a disqualification. The enraged former champions then attacked the Bulldogs, hitting both of them with spike piledrivers. The Bulldogs are still the champions, but the war is far from over. King Shane Williams (w/ Queen Taylor) vs. Cedric Alexander (w/Tommy Thomas) for the AML Wrestling Championship The main event pitted arguably AML's most successful competitors: Visit AMLwrestling.com for info on upcoming AML Wrestling events.
