 Run the Sixth Annual Sunrise Shuffle and Support Chicagoland ParksThe annual Sunrise Shuffle 5K kicks off on September 10 at 8:30 a.m., with proceeds from the event benefiting the Bloomingdale Parks Foundation.
The race will start promptly at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016. The route for this year has changed, with the 5K starting and ending at the Johnston Recreation Center, sending runners through Circle Park and Westlake Park along the way. Participants can register online now, with special offers for runners who are racing in the other races in the AMITA Health 5K Breakfast Series. Awards will be presented to each of the top three finishers in each age category, including 14-and-under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-and-over. In addition to Sunrise Chevrolet's sponsorship, the following local businesses have pledged their support for the 2016 Sunrise Shuffle: AMITA Health, PT Solutions, Top Golf - Wood Dale, BMO Harris, Culligan, Church Street Brewing Company, Elite Fitness, Dick Pond Athletics, Signarama, ISK Entertainment. New for the 2016 race, runners can enjoy a post-race beer as part of the sponsorship of Church Street Brewing Company. Free parking for racers and support is available at Circle Park South and Westfield Middle School, with runners advised to park in those locations and walk to the starting point at Johnston Recreation Center, 172 South Circle Ave. After the race, be sure to attend Septemberfest and enjoy the carnival rides, games, fun foods, and local craft vendors.
