11-year old singer-songwriter in the Semi-finals for the Michigan State Fair Superstar Competition

NOVI, Mich. - Aug. 29, 2016 - PRLog -- Sophia Avocado is the youngest competitor from Livingston County Michigan selected from 70 auditions to compete live at the Fifth Third Bank Michigan State Fair Superstar Competition with 14 other talented Michigan musicians all after the grand prize package worth $20,000 including $2,000 cash and a 3 song EP that will be recorded at Pearl Sound Studios with Chuck Alkazian and Nadir Omowale who have worked with many recognized artists in the music industry.

The competition begins with Sophia on stage at 5pm, Thursday, September 1, 2016, at the State Fairgrounds located in Novi Michigan.  The top 3 artists selected from September 1st, and two artists from September 2nd will move onto the final five contestants and perform again on Saturday, September 3.  The finalists will be announced Saturday night and the winner will headline the stage on Sunday, September 4th, with 2nd and 3rd place winners as honorable mentions.

Tickets are $8.00 for admission for the fair and include many activities, carnival midway, circus, contests and agricultural displays.
