City Celebration For The Greater Helotes Little League World Series Champions

HELOTES TEXAS, Texas - Aug. 25, 2016 - PRLog -- The City of Helotes is excited to celebrate the Greater Helotes Little League Girls Softball Team.  On August 17, the team won the 2016 Little League World Series championship game in a historic 7-0 streak during the World Series tournament held in Portland, Oregon.  This talented group also went 24-0 during the entire 2016 All-Star tournament before defeating the defending champions in the championship game.  The City of Helotes and its residents are ready to celebrate!

The community is invited to the Old Town Helotes Special District on Saturday, August 27 for a parade beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Dignitaries and area organizations will gather to help celebrate the team.  Festivities will continue at the John T. Floore Country Store for lunch.  This is the community's opportunities to meet the girls and recognize their parents and coaches.
