American Conference on Diversity to Honor Realogy with Commercial Real Estate Award

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. - Aug. 25, 2016 - PRLog -- The American Conference on Diversity will host the 2016 Commercial Real Estate Networking Reception and Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, October 4 (11:30 am – 1:30 pm), at Mayfair Farms in West Orange, NJ. During this year's annual fundraiser, the American Conference on Diversity will present the Commercial Real Estate Industry Humanitarian Award to Realogy (https://www.realogy.com) for its outreach and inclusion efforts in the industry.

Headquartered in Madison, NJ, Realogy is a global leader in residential real estate franchising and brokerage with many of the best-known industry brands, including Better Homes and Gardens® Real Estate, CENTURY 21®, Coldwell Banker®, Coldwell Banker Commercial®, The Corcoran Group®, ERA®, and Sotheby's International Realty®.

"Our work in support of our diversity efforts is steadfast, ongoing, and relentless in its pursuit of an inclusive workplace, marketplace, industry, and world," said Tanya Reu-Narvaez, senior vice president of human resources at Realogy. "As a global real estate and relocation services leader, we differentiate ourselves through our diverse talent across all constituencies."

"We are truly honored to pay tribute to Realogy for supporting D&I and for furthering the economic growth of communities for all of us, not just some of us," said American Conference on Diversity President and CEO Elizabeth Williams-Riley.

The Annual Commercial Real Estate Networking Reception and Awards Ceremony was launched more than 40 years ago when the organization was the National Conference of Christians and Jews. Today, the American Conference on Diversity continues to build on the rich legacy making this event one of the most significant industry-wide events of the year, and its support from economic development leaders, bankers, community lenders, and real estate professionals continues to be a source of tremendous pride.

Proceeds received from this fundraiser will provide scholarships for high schools and students across New Jersey and New York to attend the 2017 Lead for Diversity (http://americanconferenceondiversity.org/lead-for-diversity/) Institute. Lead for Diversity is a leadership-development program designed to help youth recognize, address, and challenge bias, bullying, and oppression based on ability status, age, body image, race, ethnicity, gender, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status. Since 1995, the Lead for Diversity Institute has more than 3,300 graduates.  Each year, the American Conference on Diversity receives requests from schools seeking support to end bias, bullying, and violence on their campuses. This benefit helps us provide more than $65,000 in Lead for Diversity scholarships to schools from communities impacted most by social and economic disparities.

Tickets, sponsorships, and advertising opportunities for this benefit are available. Please contact Roseann Martinez at JM Creative Enterprises at rmartinez@jmcreativeenterprises.com no later than Thursday, September 15, to get sponsorship information.
