AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. - Aug. 23, 2016 - PRLog -- Girl Power 2 Cure (GP2C) today announces their participation in the 2nd Annual Revlon LOVE IS ON Million Dollar Challenge, a six-week fundraising contest open to US and Canadian women's health charities which runs 9/14/16 through 10/26/16. With prizes totaling $1.4 million dollars, challengers will be vying for the top spot, a $1 million grant from Revlon.

Girl Power 2 Cure is celebrating its 10th year doing work for the Rett Syndrome community raising awareness, educating, supporting families and funding research for this severe neurological disorder that almost exclusively affects females. Born normal, little girls are robbed of their ability to speak, walk and use their hands by the age of two or three. There are no treatments or cure, but advances in education and research light the way for a promising future pending proper funding.

"The timing of this challenge is perfect. It falls in our 10-year anniversary and takes place during October which is Rett Syndrome Awareness Month," explains Ingrid Harding, GP2C Founder and President whose daughter Sarah, 15, suffers from Rett Syndrome.

Dubbed "Dream Big", GP2C's campaign is reaching across the globe to connect with supporters and audiences passionate about unlocking the potential of tens of thousands of girls who are living trapped in a body that will not work for them.

"We always dream big for our girls, but resources don't always match what we want to be able to achieve," shares Harding. "Now we have an opportunity to really dream big! We'll be ready to fight for first place for all of our girls. We're committed more than ever to do more for everyone impacted by Rett Syndrome."

Roger Brooks, COO, adds, "We want to thank Revlon for their commitment to supporting women's health issues and this opportunity to raise awareness and funds to support our mission. Their theme 'Love is On' really speaks to us and the community we serve. The amount of love surrounding our girls is incredible. They may not be able to say 'I Love You,' but their eyes can speak volumes."
