Doug Hunt receives Community Builder Award

RED OAK, Texas - Aug. 23, 2016 - PRLog -- In recognition of his continued support of and involvement in the city of Red Oak, Texas, Masonic Lodge No. 461 has awarded the annual Community Builder Award to Doug Hunt.

Hunt is involved in numerous chambers of commerce and other economic development organizations and has demonstrated his commitment to youth education with annual fundraisers benefitting the Red Oak Education Foundation through Hunt's Access Self Storage company. Hunt is a council person in his hometown of Ovilla, where he organizes the yearly Heritage Day Festival. In addition to his regional charity work, Doug Hunt and his brother David Hunt are co-chairs of the Texas Self Storage Association's Fundraising committee, responsible for bringing in nearly a million dollars for the Shriners' Burn Hospitals of Galveston.

This year's Fiesta Fundraiser benefitting the Red Oak Education Foundation and the North Ellis County Outreach Center is scheduled for Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the Clarion Hotel in Desoto. The event begins at 7:00 with food, silent & live auctions, and a cake walk.
