Indie Company The Peoples Network Inks a Five Picture Movie Deal with Maverick Entertainment

ATLANTA - Aug. 23, 2016 - PRLog -- Privately held entertainment company, Maverick Entertainment has tapped Atlanta based The Peoples Network to produce and direct five films for 2017. Maverick has a reputation for releasing niche genre films that major studios often overlook. These genres include urban (inspirational, action, comedy), Latino, erotic, and horror. The first movie slated is the upcoming thriller, "Fixation", starring Tobie Famusipe, Needamya Chambers & Tina Bridges co-written by Kenya Hendricks & Bobby Peoples

Currently, Maverick possesses a collection of over 400 independent titles that is distributed both physically and digitally. Maverick's direct relationships with Redbox, Wal-Mart, iNDemand, iTunes, DirecTV, Netflix, Amazon, and Amazon Instant allow Maverick to connect with its consumer base through DVD, Video-on-Demand, and Television mediums. Bobby and Renee Peoples are the founders of The TPN Network home of the TPN Film Fest, a bimonthly event that that supports five local Atlanta filmmakers; help build them an audience through screening, and provides financial compensation through profit sharing. On Monday August 22, 2016 it was announced that The TPN Network has been nominated for the 6th Annual RICE Awards to be held at Atlanta City Hall on October 15, 2016 at 6pm. The RICE Awards is a community based awards show that spotlights people who give back to their community. The TPN Network has been nominated in the entertainment category.
