Writer's, Author's and Publisher's Institute Opens in Charlotte, NC

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Aug. 21, 2016 - PRLog -- iScribe Writer's and Publisher's Institute Opens, in Charlotte, NC!

CHARLOTTE, NC, August 21, 2016 –iScribe Writer's and Publisher's Institute, located at 7925 North Tryon Street in Charlotte, celebrated its grand opening with a Meet, Treat and Tweet event on Saturday, August 13 at 12 noon.

The only facility of its kind in the Charlotte and surrounding areas, iScribe will offer writing and publishing classes to adult learners as well as provide book publishing services to aspiring and seasoned authors. The brick and mortar location on North Tryon boasts a 30 seat classroom and a student lounge and commissary. The goals of the institute are to expand its tangible location to several classrooms, a computer lab and a full-scale resource and reference library. "Our mission is to produce and teach excellence in writing, publishing and other forms of literary expression," shares founder, Nina Fitzhugh-Wells.

iScribe's Writer's Institute will present face-to-face and webinar classes in writing basics, academic/scholarly writing, styles and techniques of writing, and creative and therapeutic writing. iScribe's Publisher's Institute will offer foundational courses to teach writers and authors how to produce, publish and promote their book. Classes such as: Building Your Platform/Mission Statement, Writing Winning Book Proposals, Designing Your Book and it's Cover; The Process of Editing and Proofing, Becoming Social Media Savvy and Global vs. International Marketing Strategies…

Within the next 6 months, iScribe's goal is to add: 1) a classroom, 2) a full-scale technology center and 3) continuing education credit for our adult learners, in collaboration with local colleges and universities.  In addition, our Excel HIGHer and WITS Initiatives will offer free classes to youth who are aging-out of the foster care system and to women transitioning out of inceration. The goal with these two outreaches is to offer Writing Therapy to help both populations make meaning of the past and extend opportunities for positive life changes.
