Steven Jackson quote: "Las Vegas is home for me. Although I've had the privilege of going away for college and playing for multiple teams representing several cities during my 12 year career, the one thing that hasn't changed for me is home. Las Vegas is where I was born, it's where I was raised and where I've spent every off season. Whenever, I can do something so significant as this in my community I'm honored and humbled. For me, this was a little personal; If this helps me honor and thank my father and grand father who are both veterans along with all the men and women who serve and fight for our freedom it is my pleasure and I'm beyond grateful for their service and sacrifice". Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman quote: "Arnold and Veterans Village have been a force in helping Las Vegas to bring the number of homeless veterans in our community to functional zero," Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman said. "It is amazing that now, through the generosity of so many who care so much and want to help and in particular the incredible support of one of our home grown sports stars, we will have a second Veterans Village to offer even more services and housing for our veterans."
