Don't Look Now: Clinicality Press Cues up to Release Two New Titles in September

Having lain dormant for the over a year, York-based publisher Clinicality Press is set to release two very different titles in September.
YORK, England - Aug. 20, 2016 - PRLog -- The first of these two new titles is 'Peep Book', the debut novel from Ellis Johnson. The novel takes Michael Powell's infamous movie about voyeurism and retells it through a digital lens. A tale of dark psychopathy in the age of social media, it's a classic postmodernist work, an exercise in retelling and social commentary that still resonates with the greater depths of human interaction. Witty and accessible, it's a killer read.

It's accompanied by 'Cut Up Or Die', a multimedia frenzy delivered by way of a four-way collaboration between Clinicality founders Christopher Nosnibor and Stuart Bateman, with Karl van Cleave and Vincent Clasper, respectively authors of 'Incisions, Collisions and Aborted Missions' and 'Kicks' (both Clinicality Press). Taking the idea of the cut-up as executed by William Burroughs and Brion Gysin, in conjunction with the confrontational 'anything goes' aesthetic of the 60s underground press publications of Jeff Nuttall and the 1972 'Cut Up or Shut Up' anthology, to its ultimate conclusion, this is an extreme and uncompromising work. Brain-bending and sometimes ugly, it's also amusing and strange.

Clinicality Press will also be relaunching their website shortly, along with further details of these two publications.

Updates to follow. Meanwhile, feel free to explore the Clinicality catalogue to date at
