Deep Well Services earns top ranking among Pittsburgh's fastest growing companies

PITTSBURGH - Aug. 19, 2016 - PRLog -- Deep Well Services' high marks in The Pittsburgh Business Times report on the region's fastest-growing companies reflect the philosophy the oilfield service company has followed throughout a downturn in the industry, according to President and CEO Mark Marmo.

    "These results prove that everything we're doing in our company, our culture of excellence and our strategy is working, even in this down market," said Marmo, after Deep Well Services was named Pittsburgh's fastest-growing company in the Environmental/Engineering/Energy category during an event held in front of a record crowd on Thursday night at the Westin Convention Center in Pittsburgh.

    In addition to earning top honors in its category with a 188.73 percent revenue growth, DWS was ranked ninth overall in the Pittsburgh Business Times research of the region's private companies' three-year revenue growth (2013-15).

    "We continue to focus on culture," Marmo said. "Culture trumps strategy every time. If you have the right people in the right place, you're going to succeed, even in down times."

     Under Marmo's leadership, DWS assembled an experienced and highly-qualified team, many of whom reside in Pittsburgh or the surrounding region. DWS invested in state-of-the-art equipment and implemented policies and training with an emphasis on safety in the workplace.

    Even as the gas and oil industry encountered a downturn, DWS continued to forge ahead.
