Candidates Forum Hillsborough County Telemundo Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. - Aug. 19, 2016 - PRLog -- Community members, political candidates, and community leaders including SEIU, LULAC 7250, Mi Familia Vota, and Florida Immigration Coalition are organizing a Candidates Forum. The forum brings together community members from across Hillsborough County. The purpose of the forum is to educate candidates on the local issues they are facing. Candidates for State Senate, School District, and Judges have been invited and have agreed to participate in the forum.

"The purpose of this forum," says Ivan Garrido from Mi Familia Vota, "is to give candidates an opportunity to address Hispanic voters".

Telenoticias Tampa Anchor, Cristina Puig, will be the moderator. Members of the audience and the news media will have an opportunity to ask candidates questions.

The forum will be open to the public. This is an opportunity to meet the candidates and ask the questions that matter.

The initiative to educate voters on the issues is called Yo Decido and it focuses on educating Hispanic voters on the issues that matter to their local communities.

The event will take place Wednesday, August 25, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Ana G. Mendez University System, 3655 W Waters Ave. Tampa, FL 33614.
