Avoid Gatecrashers by Getting Hitched on the Golden Chariot

GHAZIABAD, India - Aug. 19, 2016 - PRLog -- Get hitched on-board the attractive luxury train of Karnataka and traverse to some far-away places.

The trend of mid-air marriages was once popular, but now-a-days wedding on a luxury train is setting trend.

The top-notch tourist luxury train of Karnataka- Golden Chariot, which is operated by the State Tourism Development Corporation in partnership with the Indian Railways, will soon provide arrangement to tie the knot on-board.

State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) is preparing to offer this train for business conclaves and luxury weddings. The tour fare for a single ticket of this train costs Rs.1.82 lakh that is why the train doesn't remain idle, even during off-season. The operators say that the tariff for a double will be Rs. 3.08 lakh and a triple will cost Rs. 3.36 lakh. It is also said that a minimum booking of 20 is required to get the tour started.

The packages are offered at affordable tariffs for corporate meetings and weddings on board the majestic Golden Chariot. The train with its beautiful interiors, which has been designed inspired by the heritage of Hampi and Halebid, serves royal food in its amazing dining cars- 'Nala' and 'Ruchi'. Having a sumptuous meal in one of these luxurious dining cars with imperial furnishings can be regarded as a bonus for its guests.

In this regard, Priyank Kharge - the Minister of State for Tourism, IT and Biotechnology said, "A wedding can be planned on board the train or in a luxury hotel [by the couple] either on the Pride of the South itinerary or the Southern Splendor trip. This would be true for business meetings too. What we want to do now is design a package for every aspect of the occasion."

As scheduled, the Pride of the South trip covers some of the best tourist destinations of the state: Aihole, Badami, Belur, Halebid, Hampi, Mysuru and Kabini. The trip begins from Bengaluru and ends in Goa. The Southern Splendor begins its journey from Bengaluru, which covers the backwaters of Kerala along with the beautiful temples of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

The Golden Chariot is promoted by the tour operators. The train can accommodate 80 passengers at a time. Alternative commercial avenues are being searched by the KSTDC, at present. It was on March 10, 2008, when its service was launched. The season for this year, will begin in October, 2016 and will end in March, 2017.
