Follow on Google News | Seattle Sports Tech Hackathon Hosted by the Sounders FC (September 10-11, 2016)By: Seattle Sports Tech Meetup Teams and individuals will have the opportunity to build tools that combine the worlds of sports and technology. Geeks, jocks, techies, entrepreneurs, and more will come together Sept. 10-11 at The NINETY and Galvanize in Seattle to pitch ideas and develop technology. A panel of judges will hear presentations from each team at the end of the event and award prizes for the best projects. Sportradar will be providing open access to their API for participating teams, and sponsors will be providing prizes for competing teams. Individuals will pay $50 to enter the hackathon, which includes food, beverages, prizes and more. Anyone can attend the final pitches of the competition on Sept. 11. The event will also be incorporating viewing parties for both the Sounders FC match against division rival San Jose Earthquakes and the Seahawks home opener against the Miami Dolphins in addition to a keynote panel with the region's sports technology leaders.
