"Scenes of Maine" on Exhibit October 1-31 at Richard Boyd Art Gallery

PORTLAND, Maine - Aug. 17, 2016 - PRLog -- Richard Boyd Art Gallery opens "Scenes of Maine" an annual exhibition of visual art depicting imagery of Maine on October 1 at 10:00 a.m. The exhibit showcases the diversity of subject matter in Maine which has long been a source of inspiration for artists. On exhibit are a selection of paintings in a variety of mediums and styles depicting scenes from the interior, to the islands, coves, and working waterfronts in Maine. Each work is the artist's interpretation of a scene in Maine.

Included in the exhibit are paintings by artists Pat Chandler - oil and mixed media; Julianne Garvey - watercolor; Jane Herbert - acrylic; Rabee Kiwan - oil and watercolor; Wilson Stewart - acrylic; and works in pastel by Kimberly Skillin Traina. The exhibit is open free of charge between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily through October 31, 2016.

Richard Boyd Art Gallery is located on Peaks Island in Portland, ME at the corner of Island Avenue and Epps Street in the first building on the right, on the first floor.
