Higgins Insurance Group rebrands as Full Spectrum Benefits

HANOVER, Mass. - Aug. 17, 2016 - PRLog -- The Higgins Insurance Group has rebranded with a new name and expanded offerings.

Hingham resident Bill Higgins, who founded the company four years ago after nearly two decades in the industry, today announced that the firm has rebranded under the new name Full Spectrum Benefits.

In addition to the new name, the firm has a new logo and is rolling out a new website. Higgins said, "While our focus has always been benefits, it seemed to us that the old name and supporting materials did not fully reflect the scope of the work we do, nor our mission to expand our market share." He said, "We have had a very positive reception to our new name and brand."

Full Spectrum Benefits, he said, grew out of a discussion with a client who told him, "You really do offer the full spectrum of benefits."

He said that a key component of their work is educating the public about the differences and options which go with benefits. "We listen to understand the need or the problem and propose a customized solution for each client." Full Spectrum Benefits works with firms from 5 to 1000 employees, and their areas of specialization include privately owned companies, manufacturers, high-tech, and other professional service groups.  The firm takes a carrier-agnostic approach, meaning that each benefits program is customized to the client needs, regardless of which company provides the particular services.

Higgins, a native and current resident of Hingham, is a Colby College graduate who began his insurance career with Sun Life of Canada, and spent nine years in the Midwest selling benefits programs to brokers. In 2000 he returned to the Boston area and he was affiliated with a large national brokerage firm for eight years. "Working for the large firms was great experience for me," he recalls, adding, "It taught me what I thought would work well in the industry as well as what could be done better."

Higgins and his wife, Lauren, are parents to three children: Frankie, Jake and Alexandra. His outside interests include golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family. He holds a number of life insurance and health insurance licenses.
