DAV and RecruitMilitary to Produce All Veterans Career Fair in San Antonio on September 1

LOVELAND, Ohio - Aug. 17, 2016 - PRLog -- DAV and RecruitMilitary will produce an All Veterans Career Fair at Norris Conference Centers – San Antonio on Thursday, September 1, 2016.  The event is sponsored by JPMorgan Chase & Co. and will run from 11a.m. to 3 p.m.  DeVry University will host a pre-event seminar for veterans and military spouses at 10:30 a.m. titled "Move in the Right Direction: Putting Your Career Goals into Action."

"RecruitMilitary job fairs maintain a track record of helping veterans find meaningful employment," said President and CEO Peter Gudmundsson. "Just last year, 56.3% of veteran job seekers expected to secure an interview as a result of their participation in a RecruitMilitary job fair and employers were expected to extend as many as 38,700 interviews and more than 12,000 job offers."

In May of 2016, the DAV-RecruitMilitary San Antonio event connected more than 450 veteran job seekers with 67 exhibitors, including Aetna Inc., Energy One of San Antonio, Lockheed Martin and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Participating companies expected to conduct up to 722 interviews and make up to 322 job offers as a result of that career fair.

RecruitMilitary has produced veteran job fairs since 2006 and has held 14 events in San Antonio, drawing 7,532 attendees and 791 exhibitors. The company has produced more than 814 events in 65 cities across the country.
