Cannes Yachting Festival 2016 - 06 - 11 September 2016

CANNES, France - Aug. 17, 2016 - PRLog -- As Europe's leading yachting exhibition, Cannes Yacht Show is a major event and is the start of the boating season, for the nautical industry. It brings together the key players in the business, the venue is held at either end of the famous Croisette in Cannes, in three elite locations: the 'Port Pierre Canto' the "Palais des Festivals" and the Vieux Port. This year the show has 497 exhibitors showing almost 600 yachts, from tenders to sports boats and super yachts, the show has something to offer most yachting enthusiasts. Each year the event attracts over 50,000 visitors, there is 300,000m² of exhibition space, and 10km of boats on 3km of floating pontoons, two of which have motorized mid-sections that open to allow boats to go out for sea trials and visitors to move around the port easily.

This exclusive event propositions attendees, the chance to preview some of the most luxurious and unique yachts that the industry has to offer, for sale and charter. Yacht buyers from around the world will gather in Cannes to view the new and custom designed vessels, showcased in the "Old" Port, by world famous shipyards, and pre-owned yachts are shown off by renowned brokerage houses, in Port Pierre Canto Along the pontoons, the show's visitors will enthusiastically discover, a distinctive and appealing atmosphere, one will appreciate the magical environment that this venue really has to offer.

In addition to the 2015 exhibition, this year with debut a new area, which is exclusively for the luxury sector, this zone will display cars, jewellery, watches, prestigious property, private aviation, couture houses, design & furniture, leather & saddles, art, hotels, high-tech products, super yachts and premium services.

The top 5 largest yachts exhibiting this year are mainly from the prestigious Italian boat builders, (through the Majesty range is built by Gulf Craft  a UAE ship builder and Sarp is a Turkey-based shipyard ).  1. A few other exciting boats worth mentioning, which will be unveiled at this year's show is the very first Custom Line 108, she will make her first appearance at the Cannes boat show. A progression of the current Custom Line 100, the new 108 not only, has more powerful engines, but adds extra length and interior space, plus an innovative swim bladder-in tender garage and Ferretti's own design Video works One Touch Infotainment System.

As British builder Princess Yachts, celebrates its 50th anniversary, they reveal their exceptional renovation project of their original yacht model, the Princess 31/50 remarkably she has not been restored in keeping with her original design, and the boat now features many super updates, including a vinyl wrap exterior.

The new flagship model from the respected yacht builder Cantiere Delle Marche is the Darwin Class 107 Storm, she is the largest expedition yacht built by the company up till now, and as her name suggests, she is ready to take on new challenging adventures. Her debut will be at the Cannes boat show.
