Colorado Cleantech Industries Assoc. Announces 2016 Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge Presenters

GOLDEN, Colo. - Aug. 16, 2016 - PRLog -- The Colorado Cleantech Industries Association (CCIA) today announced the 12 technology companies selected to present at the third annual Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge. Finalists were selected from an international pool of applicants to present at the Challenge in Denver, September 1, 2016.

CCIA developed the Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge in partnership with Noble Energy, Encana and ConocoPhillips to assist the extractive energy industry in identifying new technologies to make energy development safer, cleaner and more environmentally responsible. After a broad call for applications, the partners selected 12 companies, nine of which are U.S. based, with three joining the program from Canada. Finalists are invited to pitch their technology to investors and decision-makers from the oil and natural gas industries.

Companies responding to the Challenge were asked to present innovative technologies capable of working on issues related to unmanned aerial vehicles, the internet of things/digital oilfield, items to reduce truck traffic, space saving items to reduce footprint, plant or biological solutions, air (especially methane detection or control), water, remote/distributed power, power management, advanced materials and chemicals. Companies selected to present on September 1 include:

"The Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge is one of CCIA's signature programs and is a proven technology pipeline for the oil and natural gas producers," said Chris Shapard, CCIA's executive director.
