Independence Day Celebration at PIET

PANIPAT, India - Aug. 16, 2016 - PRLog -- On 15^th August, the 70^th independence day celebration day, Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology wore a new look with tricoclours waving all round held in the hands of students and teachers who had all come clad in combinations of while, blue, green and saffron. If you know, Panipat institute is the top institute of Haryana, Delhi NCR and North India and has been affiliated to the Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. It also has the approval of AICTE, Govt. of India. The institute offers courses on Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Master of Computer Applications (MCA 2^nd year Direct) LEET, Master of Technology (M. Tech), Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (Manufacturing Systems Engineering), Computer Science Engineering, Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech), Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering, Civil Engineering, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) and Diploma (2^nd Shift)Mechanical Engineering.

The chief guest of the day was Shri Sudeep Dabas, Assistant Commissioner Income Tax, Panipat and the guest o honour was Mr. Ankush Sharma, the Muscle Man who has the pride of being 2 times Mr. India, 6 times ARNOLD Champion, 10 times Mr. India and 8 times All India Universities Champion who also joined the PIET Management to hoist the National Flag and pay tribute to martyrs who laid their lives for the next generation to 'born free'. Speaking to the audience Shri Rakeh Tayal said , " Self awareness, conscience, independent will and creative imagination are the best endowments of a man, who also has the ability to live an independent life while living in a society and that too without losing his identity. And the word independence means the power to choose, to respond, to change and doing what's right. Initiative, Imagination, Individuality and Independence are the pillars on which a nation is built, a team of numerous people working independently but for a common goal which is progress of the nation. We are like cogs on the wheel of nation making it move at a desired pace. We are a nation who taught the world counting and directed them to the moon and the mars. Today we all come together to reassure ourselves that come what may the flag of our country FURLS very high. Let us make it a beautiful day and another fight against corruption, terrorism and malpractices, another step towards clean and green India, a forestation drive, a new culture towards woman empowerment where females stand with males on one platform."

"Welcome to all at the PIET amphitheater to celebrate and enliven the spirit of 70^th  independence ceremony of our nation which is the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend, and the great grand mother of tradition. This is a day for all of us to understand the meaning of freedom and to assume our responsibilities as a citizen of India irrespective of the roles we play in our professional life."

Shri Sudeep Dabas said that it was pleasure for him to be a part of 15^th August celebrations with PIET, "which to my mind is an outstanding one in terms of a world class infrastructure and an effective and farsighted management who look at the things from a larger perspective." He also took this opportunity to pay homage to Shaheed Bhagat Singh by garlanding his statue at the 'Bhagat Singh Block' of the institute.

Mr. Ankush Sharma along with the Chief Guest and institute management performed the opening ceremony of the college gymnasium and advised students to be conscious about their physical health. He said that being healthy does not mean to grow muscles or slim down but it simply means to be a step better than what we were yesterday.

Dr. Prof. K K Paliwal, Director PIET presented the vote of thanks to the visitors and advised the students to vow for well being of the nations by providing services basis the technical skills they acquire during their stay here. He also appreciated the young students for their outstanding stage performances on this occasion and awarded them with commendation certificates. He announced that PIET has always remained number one in the region and will continue to retain this status. He appreciated the faculty team for contributing their best to make Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology as the top institute of Haryana, Delhi NCR and North India.
