Megan Good and Husband: The Wait in first-gen

ATLANTA - Aug. 13, 2016 - PRLog -- FIYA Networks (http://www.fiya.tv) has been in talks with Black Hollywood power couple about a new show.  Reportedly DeVon Franklin (Senior V.P. Production at Columbia) and Meagan Good-Franklin are in negotiations for a show based on their Best Selling book, "The Wait".  The talk show THE WAIT will supposedly feature a panel of well-known news and entertainment personalities discussing much more than the wait, but empowering stories,  the state of relationships, pop culture, contemporary issues, family, celebrity and the trending topics of the day. The daily one-hour series is slated for a pilot that may see a midseason replacement release in February.    As the couple has been spotted in Atlanta several times over the past month, one has to wonder if they are checking out real estate.

According to one celebrity real estate magnet the couple has definitely looked at some local production facilities.   As a Sony/Columbia employee (Mr. Franklin)  the first-run Gen series is likely to be distributed by Sony as well with his Franklin Entertainment label attached.  Distribution execs recent pairings with FIYA TV (http://www.pr-inside.com/fiya-vs-netflix-the-david-and-go...), shows it may land its home there in the majority of the 210 markets.

What's even more interesting is how the power couple will pull off executive producing duties, and handle the guest rotation on FIYA TV (http://www.fiya.tv).    It's still a bit premature, but execs close to the deal says something is immediate and will be announced by sweeps week in November.

What really has distribution execs excited about this deal is FIYA's (http://www.pr-inside.com/fiya-vs-netflix-the-david-and-goliath-battle-of-tv-r4496743.htm) new live-streaming capability to dynamically insert local-market advertising and display station branding.
