Community Foundation of Howard County Grants Meals On Wheels With Funds To Support Programs

BALTIMORE - Aug. 11, 2016 - PRLog -- Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland (MOWCM) recently received a $50,000 operating grant from the Howard County Department of Resources and Services.  Meals on Wheels will use the grant to continue to provide nutritious meals and support services to homebound seniors and individuals in Howard County.

"The grant makes a big impact on our ability to serve Howard County clients" said Stephanie Archer-Smith, Executive Director, Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland, "and ensure their ability to remain living independently and safely at home."  She added, "We are thrilled that the Department continues to support our work."

Last year, Meals on Wheels delivered more than 1,000,000 nutritious meals to homebound seniors and individuals in Baltimore City as well as Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George's and parts of Frederick counties.
