Help LifeSpark raise one billion dollars (or as close to that as possible), to smash out cancer and support those with it. This social media campaign runs from August 13-31^st on Facebook, and YouTube with requests for at least $1 to be made to the team of one's choice.  Individuals are encouraged to create their own video smashing fruits and vegetables that represent cancer, and then share the video on social media, challenging friends to do the same. Help LifeSpark smash out cancer this summer and support those with the disease.

The first person each day to donate $100 will receive a one-hour massage at Elements Massage (14 participating studios in the metro-Denver area). All donations up to $2,500 will be doubled by a generous LifeSpark donor.

This is of particular interest to individuals who have lost loved ones to cancer, or who have been through cancer themselves.  LifeSpark's wellness therapies support adults with any type or stage of cancer, and the Cancer Smashing Summer fundraising campaign will empower survivors and family members because Reiki and Healing Touch provide a sense of peace and calm during a terrifying illness journey. LifeSpark Cancer Resources, a Colorado non-profit organization since 2005, supports hundreds of cancer patients every year in their journey toward wellness.

Nearly half of all Americans will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime and nearly 24,000 Coloradoans will be diagnosed this year.  Anxiety and depression are two of the most common conditions that go with cancer, and LifeSpark helps people find peace during this difficult journey.

About LifeSpark Cancer Resources:

LifeSpark supports adults with any type or any stage of cancer, along with caregivers, and restores peace and calm during and after cancer.  Wellness therapies (Reiki and Healing Touch) are hands-on therapies that can decrease stress, depression, pain, and fatigue.   Reiki and Healing Touch are provided free of charge for 12 weekly sessions and the therapy is available in people's homes if they are too sick to travel.  Sessions are provided at 14 Elements Massage studios in the Denver area, providing a relaxing, spa-like environment for the therapy.   LifeSpark also offers sessions in the cancer centers at Denver Health Medical Center and Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs.
