BattleFrog® Obstacle Course Race Series Motors through Greater Detroit, Saturday, August 27th, 2016 at Willow Metropark

DETROIT - Aug. 12, 2016 - PRLog -- BattleFrog Series is proud to announce their upcoming Greater Detroit event at Willow Metropark, the heart of the Huron River. The course will feature a series of courses comprised of military-inspired fitness challenges throughout the scenic 1,521 acre park. In the spirit of Detroit's indomitable will, the BattleFrog 8 KM course will be designed specific to the terrain of Willow Metropark for an all-out adventure like no other.

Willow Metropark is located within the Huron-Clinton system of Metroparks where the Huron River runs alongside the majestic 17-acre Washago Pond. During winter, this wide space is also groomed into a cross-country ski course. Just off I-275 and south of I-94, the woodlands will play host to a series of obstacles built with the beauty of Michigan in mind. "Willow Metropark is special and unique in its own way," expressed Kevin Jones, Chief Marketing Officer of BattleFrog Series. "We will feature our signature obstacles alongside a few surprises for the people of Detroit."

Promising a blue-collar theme, this BattleFrog race will honor the centuries of hard work that made Detroit the pillar of progress and invention it is today. Each obstacle will be unique in design to honor ingenuity, grit, and perseverance. The BattleFrog Detroit event will host five options, including the BattleFrog Xtreme (BFX) and BattleFrog Elite 16 KM event, the Signature 8KM race for athletes and families, the BullFrog Mile for Children ages 8-13, and the 400m Tadpole Dash for ages 4 to 8. For those wishing to observe the action and offer support, spectator passes for both adults and children are available.

BattleFrog Series is designed with these varying levels of difficulty to unite people of all ages regardless of physical condition. Every obstacle is capable of being completed as the BattleFrog experience is about working hard to surpass each individual's respective goals.
