Michigan Musician Guy Louis Celebrates 30 Years Of Inspiring Michigan Students Through Music
In 1986, Guy Louis started his "Chautauqua Express" musical programs as a way to bring musical enrichment to young audiences. Today, he has over 10 different educational presentations that he presents at over a hundred schools every year. These programs include the popular "Positively Rockin'" and "Tune Into Reading" shows, which support character development and promote reading, respectively. Recently, Louis has debuted "Introducing Children to Relaxation", which uses his interactive musical performance to help young people learn the art and science of relaxation.
Guy Louis has been selected as a featured artist in Michigan Touring Arts Program. He received a BA in Music from Oakland University, and was an artist in residence for the Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through The Arts in Vienna, VA.
This Fall, Guy Louis will be presenting two special Metro Detroit area concerts as part of the celebration of his 30th year of entertaining Michigan families. He will be presented a special Halloween concert on October 22, 2016 at Meadowbrook Theatre in Rochester Hills, Michigan. His "Winter World Holiday" concert will be performed at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra's Max M. Fisher Music Hall in Detroit, Michigan on November 26, 2016.
