Horizon Properties Group Announces Plan to Develop Former SmithKline Beecham Building in Kennedy Tow

CANONSBURG, Pa. - Aug. 10, 2016 - PRLog -- Horizon Properties Group, LLC announces their plans to develop the property purchased earlier this year in Kennedy Township, PA at 100 Beecham Drive. Formerly the SmithKlein Beecham building, the property is conveniently located at the Crafton exit of Interstate 79.  Currently the space contains a 105,000 square foot, 2 story office building situated on 16 acres.

Plans to develop the space and land include renovating the existing Class-A building and development of a 35,000 square foot flex office building on the property.  Additionally, Horizon plans to construct a nationally branded hotel at the property due to its proximity and visibility from Interstate 79.

Mark Koontz of Horizon states; "Due to the property's close proximity to I-79 and I-376 it affords convenient access to Downtown Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh International Airport.  In addition, it is easily reached from markets and communities both north and south along I-79 making this a very attractive location for redevelopment"
