Our first day tour, local tour guide will pick you up at Noi Bai airport and transfer you to the hotel in Hanoi for check in, free time for taking a good rest after the long flight. In the afternoon, depending on your arrival time, local travel expert will suggest certain following activities. Normally the Cyclo driver will pick you up at the hotel and take you around Hanoi Old Quarter to see the daily life and some activities on the street. After the cyclo ride, meet up with the guide for an easy walk to the local market in Hanoi where you can watch and join in the trading activities of local peoples. In the late afternoon we offer you a ticket for an evening water puppet - the typical traditional art of Vietnam - show so that you can enrich your knowledge of Vietnam. Welcome dinner will be held in a nice restaurant in Hanoi, then back to hotel for overnight.

Our second will start after breakfast then check out the hotel, culture excursion to village beginning at 08.00 am. First visit is Ho Chi Minh mausoleum in Ba Dinh square where the country's independence was declared in 1945, after that see Temple of Literature - the first university of Vietnam founded in 1070. Lunch served at a nice restaurant in Hanoi before the trip takes off on a car drive of 100 km to the peaceful village of Doan Xa located next to Dong Trieu town, which takes about 02 hours. Greet the host family.  In the afternoon, take an interesting cycling trip through many local villages to see the daily life of the local people. If possible we will stop by a primary school to communicate and teach some English for the children or join the farm works with farmers. Get back to homestay at late afternoon, take a rest beside the pond, enjoying a cup of tea or learn how to cook some Vietnamese food by joining in the family kitchen. After dinner we have another chatting period with family owner who survived from the war and dark economic time of Vietnam, tonight we sleep in nice and confortable room of family with soft bed and 2 way air-conditional

Day 3 of our journey after breakfast we can take a strolling around the village to learn more about the life of the people and see the start of their new day. Go back to say farewell to the host family. On a drive to Halong Bay with a stopover at Dong Trieu ceramic factory,  where you can discover the production of pottery. 12.30: Arrive at Swan office, http://www.swancruiseshalong.com  transferred by tender to Swan Cruise. 12.45: Enjoy welcome drink, be briefing about safety on boat and activities included then check in cabin. 13.30: Delicious Vietnamese set menu while leisurely cruising to the core of Bai Tu Long Bay. 15.00: Arrive to kayaking area – that is Cap La Island. Enjoy kayaking through the karst and breathtaking nature, swimming and relaxing. 17.30: Get back to the boat and enjoys Sunset party while our cruise sailing to the overnight anchorage. 19.00: Sumptuous set-dinner onboard. 20.30: Free time for joining Games, you may also try your luck with squid fishing. Dinner on boat will bring you the warmly atmosphere with delicious Vietnamese foods and lovely style. Enjoy the romantic night with some homemade cocktail on your own. Overnight on Swan Cruises.

Second last day in northern Vietnam will start by early morning Tai Chi (Chinese martial art practiced for health benefits) practice on sundeck and immerse ourselves in fresh air of Halong Bay, then enjoy the light Western style breakfast and cruise to see other corners of the bay. At 10.00 am we check out and have brunch on boat and cruise back to the harbor to end our cruising at 12:00 O'clock. Say goodbye to all staff.

Leaving Halong Bay, we head straight to the southwest by car through many provinces in Red River Delta such as Hai Phong, Thai Binh and Nam Dinh. It takes approximately 04 hours with a break halfway for rest and refreshment to reach the destination - Ninh Binh. In Ninh Binh we drive to the ancient capital of Hoa Lu which was founded in the 10th century by Dinh King. After the visit we head to the hotel in Ninh Binh for check in and have a rest. Dinner on your own. Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Last day trip, check out hotel and continue the trip at 08.30 am. Finish a 30 minute journey to Trang An then move on to a bamboo boat trip along the river, passing terrific scene of limestone mountain range. The area is often called Halong Bay on land for its magnificent view. During the boat trip, stop at Tam Quan gate for a soft trekking up and down rocky mountain and about an hour visit to the Temple of Tran dynasty. After that the boat trip goes on through some caves. Enjoy lunch in the local restaurant.

In the afternoon, head straight to Noi Bai airport in Hanoi for your onward flight. Trip ends at Noi Bai airport.
