Samsung Galaxy J2 2016 launched with industry first TST and Smart Glow; large-screen Galax

BANGALORE, India - Aug. 9, 2016 - PRLog -- Samsung India today announced the launch of two new additions to its highly successful Galaxy J series of smartphones - Galaxy J2 2016, with two new innovations – Turbo Speed Technology and Smart Glow, and Galaxy J Max, which comes with a 7-inch WXGA display.

Galaxy J2 2016 is a follow up version of the Galaxy J2 launched in 2015, which is currently India's top selling smart phone. It has been re-engineered, re-designed and re-loaded with new 'Make for India' features such as Turbo Speed Technology (TST), a revolutionary innovation which results in superior device performance, and Smart Glow.

Galaxy J Max is designed for those who are looking for a complete entertainment experience on a mobile device. Building on this insight, Galaxy J Max offers a 7-inch WXGA display for an immersive viewing experience, along with 4G VoLTE connectivity for fast downloads and streaming. Its 4,000 mAh battery enables full day media playback. With up to 200 GB expandable memory. Samsung's proprietary Ultra Data Saving (UDS) mode will also enable consumers to save up to 50% mobile data.

Re-engineered, Re-designed and Re-loaded smartphones

·         Re-engineered with Turbo Speed Technology: Samsung has re-engineered J series with the introduction of Turbo Speed Technology in Samsung Galaxy J2 2016. TST is a revolutionary innovation which results in superior device performance including native apps loading up to 40% faster than devices with double the RAM.

·         Re-designed with Smart Glow: The innovative Smart Glow in Galaxy J2 2016 is a next-gen colour LED notification system. Smart Glow consists of an LED ring around the rear camera which can be customised for priority notifications of any app or contact. While up to four alerts can be set, consumers can create and choose their own colour for the Smart Glow. It also alerts a user if they are running low on battery, internal memory, or mobile data. Users can also use the Smart Glow LED ring to position the rear camera for higher mega-pixel selfies with the Selfie Assist feature. This is further complimented with a new Smart Notifier software feature which allows customisable bucketing of notifications so that users never miss important notifications.

·         Re-loaded with 'Make for India' features: The latest Galaxy J2 2016 and J Max smartphones come loaded with 'Make for India' innovations such as S bike mode and Ultra Data Saving mode.

Samsung India had launched industry first S bike mode, a dedicated bike mode that lets consumers 'ride tension free' while encouraging responsible riding. The S bike mode's urgent call alert system notifies callers through an automated answering machine that the user is riding and is unavailable to take calls. However, callers have the option to press 1 in case the call is urgent. As a safety feature, the in-built motion lock ensures that the rider has to come to a halt before they can answer the call.

The 'Ultra Data Saving' (UDS) mode provides up to 50% mobile data savings by blocking unnecessary background applications from consuming data.

Vivid Display & Slim Design

Samsung Galaxy J2 2016 and J Max provides an immersive experience with a 5" inch HD Super AMOLED screen and 7" inch WXGA TFT LCD Screen (1280 x 800) respectively.

Measuring just 8 mm, the Galaxy J2 2016 is a sleek device which is further complemented by soft rounded edges that ensure a comfortable grip. J Max is 8.7 mm slim, is light-weight with a modern design and non-slip grip.

Advanced Powerful Performance

Samsung Galaxy J2 2016 and Galaxy J Max are powered by 1.5 GHz Quad Core processor. Both the devices have 1.5 GB RAM for smoother & seamless multitasking. Galaxy J2 2016 and Galaxy J Max support 128 GB and 200 GB expandable memory respectively to ensure consumers never run out of space.

The battery capacity has been expanded on both devices with the Galaxy J2 2016 sporting a 30% larger 2,600 mAh battery as compared to the 2015 edition. The Galaxy J Max features an impressive 4,000 mAh battery.

Sophisticated Imaging Capabilities
Samsung Galaxy J2 2016 comes with a significant camera upgrade over the 2015 version with the primary camera going from 5 mega-pixel to 8 mega-pixel. Both cameras will sport an f 2.2 aperture. The Galaxy J Max will also sport a 8 mega-pixed primary camera and a 2 mega-pixel front camera.
