Sterlite Copper Organizes Tamira Muthukkal Skill School Alumni Meet

THOOTHUKKUDI, India - Aug. 7, 2016 - PRLog -- Sterlite Copper organized Alumni Meet for beneficiaries of Tamira Muthukkal Project today to motivate and encourage the existing batch students through sharing the experiences of successful alumni of the institute.

Sterlite Copper has initiated the Project Tamira Muthukkal for facilitating skill development training to youth by helping them earn their living through technical skills in association with Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services Limited (IL&FS) since April 2014.

The objective of the project is to mobilize, motivate and train unskilled and unemployed youth and facilitate suitable employment linkages. So far 454 youth have completed their training and 60% of them are employed.

Mr. Anshu Goel, Business Head - Copper & Precious Metal, Sterlite Copper was the chief guest for the Alumni Meet and distributed the rewards to the alumni in the presence of Mr D Dhanavel, Head - Commercial, HSE & CSR, Sterlite Copper, Dr R Kailasam, Chief Medical Officer and Head CSR, Sterlite Copper and Mr KM Rajan, Associate Vice President - IL&FS Skills. The function was witnessed by students, faculties, parents and NGO partners.
