College Kids Get Back-to-school Price Break On Haircuts

LOS ANGELES - Aug. 5, 2016 - PRLog -- With the new collegiate school year rapidly approaching, Rudy's Barbershop is offering its own "college prep" class by providing free haircuts on August 16, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. to any college student who presents a valid student photo identification card through its "Cuts for College" campaign.

Rudy's Barbershop is a community you can count on with quality cuts and superior products, for everybody.  Recognizing the ever-increasing cost of college, which has risen at almost six percent higher than the rate of inflation according to a recent CNBC article, the Rudy's Barbershop team wanted to give students a price break on a small luxury like a fresh haircut. The hope is that they'll have a little bit more money in their pocket for items like books and supplies, which have increased by 812 percent since 1978, and are estimated to cost students around $1,200 annually.

"A connection to the community is at the core of everything Rudy's Barbershop does, and we want to show our customers that a great haircut doesn't have to break the bank; even if other areas of their life are," said Brendon Lynch, CEO of Rudy's Barbershop.

On August 16, Rudy's Barbershop is offering college students one of three standard services, a buzz cut (valued at $17), short cut (valued at $33), or long cut (valued at $39), with shampoo, conditioning, and partial styling.  Students will also have the option of having additional services at standard retail prices, varying in price from $10 to $130.
