By: WrestleCade Entertainment
America's Most Liked Wrestling traveled to the Old Clemmons School Gym in Clemmons, NC to bring wrestling fans AML Wrestling Presents: Mass Hysteria featuring new AML Prestige Champion Cedric Alexander and former ECW World Champion Tommy Dreamer. A sold out, standing room only crowd shoehorned their way in to this newest AML venue. What happened? Here are the OFFICIAL results!
THE DIXON LINE vs. TEAM AXCELLENCE
The Dixon Line (Joe Keys and Ken Dixon) defeated Team Axcellence (Brandon Scott and Axton Ray) via pinfall. After a seesaw matchup that went almost fifteen minutes, Dixon hit Brandon Scott with a Keys-assisted stungun, then rolled him up for the pinfall. It should be noted, however, that Dixon illegally hooked Scott's tights to hold him down for the three-count, an infraction that escaped the referee.
CAPRICE COLEMAN vs. "PICTURE PERFECT" JORDAN KAGE
"Picture Perfect" Jordan Kage upset Caprice Coleman by pinfall. In what was arguably the biggest upset of the night, Kage was able to surprise Coleman (the former AML Wrestling Champion) with his finisher, the "Fuzzy 8x10" piledriver from the middle rope to secure the pinfall. This surprise victory is sure to put Kage in the AML singles title picture.
Raphael King then stormed into the ring and uncharacteristically demanded a microphone. He announced an official challenge to AML Prestige Champion Cedric Alexander. King, frustrated because of the disputed nature of his loss to Alexander in the AML Prestige Title Tournament, demanded a rematch, because in his view (and the view of virtually everyone not named Tommy Thomas) he pinned Alexander in the first round of the tournament, only the referee was distracted at the time. Tommy Thomas and Cedric Alexander then came to the ring and accosted King, allowing Joe Black to hit him from behind and jumpstart their match.
RAPHAEL KING vs. JOE BLACK
Raphael King pinned Joe Black after 12 minutes of action. This match pitted two of the most promising young talents on the AML roster; Black's considerable size disadvantage was mitigated by quickness and guile, and he was able to keep King off balance and off his feet for most of the match. However, the rejuvenated King was ultimately too much for Black, and the "pretty boy" pinned the smaller man after a uranage slam.
CALEB KONLEY vs. KEVIN KROSS
Kross came to the ring to announce that he believe that Konley was ready to wrestle an athlete of his caliber. Kross said he had hand picked an opponent for Konley and would give Konley a match IF he beat that opponent which ended up being Ring Of Honor's Lio Rush.
CALEB KONLEY vs. LIO RUSH
Caleb Konley beat Lio Rush by pinfall. After a much quicker, fast-paced match than Konley likely anticipated, the Charlotte native was able to get a convincing victory over the up-and-coming ROH star Rush, pinning him after a cradle shock.
THE HEAT SEEKERS vs. THE GEORDIE BULLDOGS for the AML Wrestling Tag Team Championship
The Geordie Bulldogs (Sean Denny and Mark Denny) upset the Heat Seekers (Elliot Russell and Sigmon) to win the AML Wrestling Tag Team Championship. After months of being attacked and injured by the champions, the British brawlers finally got their revenge and walked away with the tag team championship belts. After a match mostly dominated by the Heat Seekers' double team tactics, Sean Denny ducked a belt shot from Sigmon, which knocked out Elliot Russell by mistake. Sean then utilized his mysterious red mist spray to send the veteran tag team specialist sprawling to the outside. He followed that with a flying knee drop from the top rope (Ivan Koloff style) to secure the victory, and the Geordie Bulldogs are YOUR new tag team champions! After the match, the brothers invited young AML Wrestling fans to the ring to celebrate with them.
ZANE DAWSON vs. TOMMY DREAMER vs. DAMIEN WAYNE in a No-DQ match.
Zane Dawson beat Tommy Dreamer and Damien Wayne by pinning Dreamer. In the latest bout of brutality featuring Dawson and the Unpredictable One, the Innovator of Violence Tommy Dreamer joined the festivities and made this a triple threat No-DQ match. Dawson was able to pin Dreamer after hitting the former ECW champion with George South's brass knuckles while Damien Wayne was unable to break up the three-count. Dawson then demanded a match against AML Wrestling Champion King Shane Williams.
CEDRIC ALEXANDER (with Tommy Thomas) vs. SHANE STRICKLAND for the AML Prestige Championship.
In the first title defense for Alexander, the champion had to defend the title against one of the most underrated athletes in the sport, Shane Strickland. And, while Strickland nearly won the match on several occasions, Alexander was eventually able to hit the lumbar check to win the match and defend the title.
THE AFTERMATH: Zane Dawson accosted members of the AML Video Production Team after the event concluded and forced them to record a statement in which he disparaged ECW as a relic from the 1990s. He then challenged any member of the ECW roster –active or retired – to face him when AML Wrestling travels to Davie County High School in Mocksville, NC for AML Wrestling Presents: Second To None 2016 on Saturday, August 27, 2016! Doors open at 6pm for rows 1-2, 6:30pm for everyone else with a 7pm Bell Time. Tickets and more information available at http://www.AMLWrestling.com
