NEW YORK - Aug. 5, 2016 - PRLog -- On September 17, 2016, OGONEWYORK will host its 3rd Annual True Beauty Women's Celebration, a one-day event designed to educate, encourage and empower women to live their best lives, at the Skyline Hotel Grand Ballroom. The women's celebration, founded by business consultant and CEO Ogo Ekweozor, will recognize True Beauty Legacy Award honorees, kick off the pop-up marketplace, and debut the 2016 OGONEWYORK fall collection with 30% of the proceeds going to the non-profit Justice Rising.  The invitation can be viewed at https://3rdannualtb.splashthat.com/.

The theme of the conference, "Living Your Passion," will bring together over two hundred influencers, industry leaders, and CEOs, who will share their secrets of success at career-focused open forums. Guest speakers will include the event's founder, Ogo Ekweozor; NY1's own Cheryl Wills; Joanne Melillo; Kim Coleman; Rev. Dr. Oti; Toni Williams; Tasha Ozger; Yesi Morillo-Gual; and Cassandra Lee. Guests will enjoy networking, a shopping lunch break, and raffles.

The goal of the event, in part, is to create a supportive atmosphere that in turn develops women ready to accelerate professionally and to be inspired, empowered, and equipped for success as a result. By connecting everyday women that are on the receiving end of gender-based wage gaps and pay inequity with established women executives, event founder Ekweozor aims to restore the balance of leadership and community.

Along with spearheading this event, Ekweozor comments on the exhilaration of being an expectant mother and the promise of helping attendees. "When I found out I was expecting amidst the planning, I considered the option of cancelling the event. However, after much thought, I decided to go ahead. My decision was based on my belief that the event is bigger than I am. There are women whose lives will be enhanced and maybe even changed forever by the mere fact that they showed up."

In line with the OGONEWYORK mission, to date the organization has made a positive impact on the lives of thousands of women and children around the world by providing access to basic necessities crucial for their survival. Well-known supporters include New York's first lady, Chirlane McCray, and ABC's Shark Tank's Barbara Corcoran.
