The Delray Beach Fraternal Order of Eagles Challenge you to Accept the Ice Bucket Challenge

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - Aug. 4, 2016 - PRLog -- DELRAY BEACH, FL - On Saturday, August 27, 2016, the community of Delray Beach and the Delray Beach Fraternal Order of Eagles #4476 will gather at the Fraternal Order of Eagles building in Delray (600 N Congress Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33445) to join the fight to find a cure for a deadly illness. ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, progressively paralyzes its victims, attacking nerve cells and pathways in the brain or spinal cord, taking away their ability to walk, talk, eat and eventually breathe. ALS has no known cause or cure, but the Palm Beach com­munity is rallying together to change that.

Jim Morgan of Morgan Properties and Contracting Group, Inc. is organizing the 3^rd Annual ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in Delray in honor of his sister who was diagnosed with ALS in 2006.  Jim and many others participating in the event are hoping their actions will make a difference in the lives of ALS patients and bring awareness to this horrible disease. Jim is following his sister's wise words, "We need to spread the word. We need a cure."

With only two to five years to live, these patients have an urgent need, and the community is stepping in to fill it by accepting the Ice Bucket Challenge for all ALS patients who are losing the ability to walk, talk, and eventually even breathe. The 3^rd Annual ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is organized by the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4476. Entry tickets are $5 per person. All proceeds of the event will benefit The ALS Association Florida Chapter.
