SAMMinistries Starts Conversation To #endchildhomelessness

SAN ANTONIO - Aug. 4, 2016 - PRLog -- SAMMinistries, San Antonio's leading provider in homelessness prevention resources is holding its annual Back-to-School Bash at the Transitional Living and Learning Center on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. This event kicks off the #EndChildHomelessness campaign—an effort that will pay it forward for years and generations.

"We still serve San Antonio families, elderly and veterans who are homeless; however, spotlighting child homelessness will help our efforts to overcome homelessness," said SAMMinistries president and CEO Navarra Williams.

Ending the cycle of homelessness is critical to the health of our city and our future. SAMMinistries offers hope to adults and children by providing not just food and shelter, but the life skills needed for long-term survival and independence.

SAMMinistries relies on the community for volunteers, donations and mentors to combat homelessness. To date, more than 14,000 San Antonio children remained in their homes thanks to the generosity of the community.
