PYA Spotlights Antibiotic Resistance Crisis in "Voices in America"

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Aug. 3, 2016 - PRLog -- PYA will appear in an upcoming "Voices in America" short-form documentary for distribution to approximately 200 public television stations nationwide.  The stand-alone series segment spotlights the devastating human consequences of the antibiotic-resistance problem and explores the Firm's passion for making a difference in the fight against this mounting crisis.

Hosted by legendary actor James Earl Jones, the documentary will feature PYA founder and CEO Ed Pershing and Infectious Disease Specialist James M. Keegan, M.D.  The misuse of antibiotic drugs has led to the loss of an estimated 23,000 lives per year in the U.S., a number only expected to rise if evidence-based antibiotic stewardship practices are not established in hospitals, critical access hospitals, long-term care facilities, and other healthcare facilities.
